"Salmon Migration" Water Wall - May 2007 - 16'x6' Bronze and River Rock

This spring Mark installed "Salmon Migration" at the West Linn Center Plaza, which features 5 lifesize salmon swimming and leaping over river rocks.  West Linn is located near the banks of the Willamette River close to Portland, Oregon, where the mighty salmon have been plying the waters for centuries.  Visitors can enjoy dining alfresco at one of several fine restaurants offering outdoor seating while appreciating the bronze salmon and the sound of flowing water.

"Dragon Turtle" - August 2007 - 36"x30"x30" Bronze

Mark was commissioned by a private collector of Asian art to create a reproduction of an ancient Chinese symbol for longevity and abundance:  the Dragon Turtle.  Several styles of dragon turtle can be found in the Forbidden City in Beijing, China; Mark's interpretation weighs 250 lbs. and, as a fountain, graces the koi pond in the Asian styled garden of its owner.
